Pilates is a low-impact, full-body movement system designed to increase strength, mobility, and enhance your mind-body connection. Created in the early 20th century by a German immigrant, Joseph Pilates, Pilates first took hold of the ballet community in New York City before becoming a world wide phenomena practice by millions every day.
Pilates emphasizes six core principles including breath, concentration, centering, control, precision, and flow.

Grip socks are required for all classes for safety and hygiene purposes. We encourage comfortable clothes that allow for a full unrestricted range of motion. Water will be available in-studio, but feel free to bring your own bottle to have by your reformer.

Yes! Like many other movement modalities Pilates can be daunting to approach for the first and even second time. With that in mind we are confident that not matter your background our Reformer 1 and Tower 1 classes will offer you a chance to build a successful relationship with Pilates.
